At Spruce York we think its really important to try to run our business in a way that reduces our impact on the environment.
Packaging
We don’t use any single use plastics. All orders are packaged in Cardboard boxes with paper tape rather than plastic based tape.
Our breakable items such as our handmade ceramics are wrapped in paper and packed with biodegradable packing peanuts made using a natural starch based material.
Plastic Oceans Charity
We work with Katie Bentley Ceramics, Katie is a Yorkshire based maker. We sell some items from her Plastic Ocean range, these are Sea creature inspired trinket dishes, £5 from the sale of each dish is donated to Plastic Ocean’s charity who help clean up our seas.
Up-cycling, Driftwood and Pallet Ranges
We have product ranges which are made from driftwood collected on Yorkshire Beaches and made from Upcycled pallets and fruit crates. We also upcycle old
furniture and give it a new lease of life saving items from Landfill.
